This is what happened to Max...

On the 30th of June 2013, 2 year-old Max was unjustly shot 4 times by a Hawthorne (LA) police officer, while trying to protect his owner, Leon Rosby...
This incident was filmed and released on YouTube, and have been viewed by over 4,000,000 people in the 5 days following this tragedy...

Those horrific images shocked millions of people and touched many lives on a very personal level. Max's live was taken for granted and treated as insignificant and meaningless. He was a beautiful dog, who never harmed a soul, was a precious friend and loyal companion to his family. Max had a life, a soul and a beautiful heart that brought happiness every day, not only to his family but to many people who loved him and whom he loved as well.

He was brutally executed in front of his owner, Mr. Leon Rosby, by a corrupt police officer named Jeffrey Salmon. His prior history, which is available in numerous articles online, proves that he should not be wearing a uniform that mistakingly leads people to expect to be "served and protected" by him.

On July 6th 2013, a peace rally has been gathered outside of the Hawthorne Police Department. The purpose of the rally was to fight against animal cruelty and police corruption.

Mr. Leon Rosby is currently fighting for Max's rights and has an ongoing lawsuit against the Hawthorne Police Department.

We want to make Max's voice heard! We want to show that his life was important, just as important as that of a 2 year-old child. We want to make this type of cruelty cease to exist once and for all!
